Ohne Furcht und Adel

Also known as: Citadels

In Citadels, you are a medieval ruler trying to complete your city before your opponents can build theirs. Expand your city by adding new districts, but be sure to invest wisely: Some districts are more valuable than others, but cost more gold to build.

There is more to ruling a city than gold, however. Lords, ladies, and other nobility all have a role to play. The game changes each turn as each player secretly chooses a new role -- the Assassin, Thief, Magician, King, Bishop, Merchant, Architect, or Warlord -- and the power that comes with it.

This edition of Citadels includes 11 brand new expansion cards by the original game designer. These cards have never been published in any previous editions, and add a whole new level of diversity to your Citadels game.

Citadels is a card game of bluffing, diplomacy, and city-building for two to seven players, ages 10 and up. Citadels is playable in 20 to 60 minutes.

Our Feedback:

It is very rare I give a game 5 stars. Rarer even when the game is entirely in German and we had to translate every card but Uhne Furcht und Adel is just that game. This game is a perfect balance of strategy and a bit of luck that I enjoy as much now as I did 5 years ago. It has now been released in the US as Citadels with very few changes and is truly a must have game for any collection. Each player card has it;s own unique powers and abilities and even your placement at the table can have dramatic effects as you choose your player card for each new round changin everything up as you build your city, attack your enemies, and try to hold on to some cash.
