Starcraft 2 protoss strategy guide Tip #1 – Dark Templar rush:

One of the most powerful units you can use early on in any starcraft 2 protoss strategy is the Dark Templar. They possess permanent cloaking and can dish out a lot of damage to opponents in the game. They are extremely useful against a terran player who has built structures such as double bunkers or triple barracks.

Cannons should either be in tight clusters so they can defend each other, or scatted far and wide to detect cloaked units.
