SC2 Terran strategy guide Tip #1 – Tank Push:

One of the best strategies you can learn with any guide to starcraft 2 terran is to use the Tank Push strategy.  This is perhaps one of the most feared strategies in the game. If you decide upon a regular tank push this will involve five tanks roughly and combined with marines moving forward inch by inch. The best thing about the tanks is that they are not always seen because they fire from long range. Any decent tank push should be used with goliaths as they are good in the air which is one thing that tanks are vulnerable against.

Starcraft 2 Terran strategy Tip #2 – Marine Push:

The marine push is a great strategy to use when playing starcraft 2 terran. It works pretty well, despite the fact that it can take some time to set up and will cost a fair amount of money. If you are up against a player that is using protoss or zerg then start pushing out Space Construction Vehicles up to a maximum of eight or so. Then you should build a supply depot and barracks. The next step would be to engage the marines and start shoving them out up to about twenty of them. Take this combination of SCV’s and marines down to the opponent’s entrance undetected and have the marines hop from bunker to bunker until they get close. Then you can start the attack and hopefully their units will start to fall easily enough.

Starcraft terran strategy Tip #3 – Goliath Drop:

The goliath drop is another great strategy if you are looking to win at starcraft 2 terran. A favourite of many players is to attack with Goliaths, Wraiths and Tanks in battle. It’s intention is to use this later on in the game. The first thing you need to concentrate on is getting your defences sorted out and protect yourself from the enemy. Make sure you erect two barracks and put marines into bunkers as quick as possible. Once these defences are up and running then you can build your factory. Once everything is done and you feel you are as protected as you can be, you should build an army of Goliaths and train them for battle. Add wraiths and dropships to these and once you have a combination of twelve wraiths, sixteen goliaths and four dropships you are ready to attack. In the event that they have siege weapons such as tanks you should either attack from a distance or drop the Goliaths off right nearby so they hit them first and then use your Wraiths to create a diversion while the dropships take them out.

Starcraft strategy terran Tip #4 – Vulture:

The Vulture unit, much like the Marines themselves, only cost minerals. The are incredibly good scouts which is always useful in any game you play. They are also perhaps the fastest unit you can have. One of the vulture’s best assets is the ability to lay mines by burrowing into the ground and then attacks units as they fly over. In addition mines are a great warning device for you if the enemy is attacking.

Starcraft 2 strategy terran Tip #5 – Firebat Rush:

A great unit to use early in the game if your enemy is only using light assault warriors is the firebats unit. Firstly push out eight Space construction vehicles and then build a supply depot. Then once you have a barracks up and running too you should unleash the firebats to attack. You should do this at speed though so they don’t have a chance to defend themselves. It’s a great strategy to employ if you are helped out with others.

Starcraft terran Tip #6 – Defences:

It is important when playing starcraft 2 terran that you have great defences as this is vital as much as your attack strategies can be. The missile turret for one is very cheap to build and can protect against the majority of air units. It can also provide some much needed protection from ground attacks. Then there are siege tanks that can be very effective when setting up your defences. They can be very handy at stopping waves of attacks coming your way when set up around your base. You should always try to place them on high ground near the entrance to your base.
