Starcraft 2 terran units excel in defensive situations and this is where their bunkers and siege tanks really come into their own. Follow this guide to learn more on some of the terran units and what they do in the game.

Starcraft 2 terran units – Marines Unit:

Of all the starcraft 2 terran units the first combat unit that you will have available in the game of Starcraft 2 are the terran marines. The marines are a basic infantry unit but are extremely versatile as they can be used for air and ground attacks. That it itself is very useful when heading into battle. In addition, they are able to shoot from range which is ideal as can often go undetected when an attack starts. They have various upgrades which make them stronger and better and these include the Stim Pack and the Combat shield. Marines begin the game with 45 hit points, so they are quite light on armour and can die quite quickly. For this reason they are much better and effective in large groups or mixed with other units. In regards to the upgrades available you can get a stim pack that will give your marines a temporary increase in attack and movement speed. This only lasts 15 seconds though. Then there is the combat shield that is essential if you plan on using a lot of marines. It increases their hit points to 55 which is massive in the scheme of things.

Starcraft 2 terran units – Thor Unit:

One of the most powerful units you can use in the range of starcraft 2 terran units is Thor. This unit has great anti-air capabilities and is devastating at destroying large ground units. There is a reason why a lot of players of the game refuse to use this unit and that is because they really don’t know how to employ this slow and very powerful unit properly and to the best effect. This unit is actually most effective when combined with other Terran units. If you want to win or have the best chance then ensure you use the Thor as part of a mixed Terran army. Their actual real big weakness is that they are not strong by themselves which is why you need to always use them with others. The Thor has one unique ability of being able to attack air units from long range and doing ultimate damage.

Starcraft 2 terran units – SCVs, Marauders and Ghost Units:

The space construction vehicles are a terran build unit and they harvest and gather resources and repair mechanical units. Unfortunately they have a weak attack and light armour. Marauders attack ground targets and also have light armour. Finally the Ghost unit is capable of attacking both ground and air units, plus they can also trigger blasts and call down Nuclear strikes.
